Eagle Announces New Functionality

As part of our continued product investment, we are pleased to announce a number of new functions for Eagle RF Express for QAD.

New Toyota TSCS Transaction ‘Bolt On’:

Eagle is ready to release the new Toyota TSCS Transaction ‘Bolt-On’. This functionality will be available for implementation in October. Newly created RF transactions build Toyota Pallets by scanning internal Container labels, Toyota One-Way Kanban (OWK) labels, and Toyota Skid labels. Toyota OWK labels and Toyota Skid labels are still printed from the Toyota Supplier Portal. Those labels are then scanned within the appropriate Eagle transactions. Designated Skid exception codes can also be applied to the records. The collected Skid information is then verified through a real-time call from the Eagle transaction to Toyota’s verification webservice. The user receives a Skid confirmation message within the transaction when webservice edits are successfully completed. New Toyota ‘Bolt-On’ logic in the RF Load Truck gathers required trailer level details to perform a two-way Shipment Confirmation with Toyota’s verification webservice. The transaction allows entry of Skid and/or Shipment level Toyota Exceptions.

This new functionality is available for all versions of QAD and all Operating System Platforms. Please contact Eagle as soon as possible if you require Toyota TSCS functionality.

Load Truck (LTR) Container FIFO Logic:

Eagle has provided FIFO logic in many RF Express for QAD Enterprise Applications transactions for decades. Eagle has recently added standard FIFO logic in the Load Truck (LTR) Shipper Build transaction to help users know that older product exists in the warehouse. The FIFO logic is configurable by ship-to to help Automotive and other customers enable the functionality when needed. When a container is scanned, a check is made to see if older containers exist based upon create date. Lot control is not required. The FIFO logic can be enabled as warning so the operator is aware of older product or enabled as a hard error so the operator must pick the older product. This logic complements existing LTR functionality that can present a sorted list of containers with associated location. This new functionality is available for all versions of QAD.

Smart Barcodes just Got Smarter:

Eagle’s existing smart, single-scan barcode solution allows for one scan to report item number, lot number, quantity and more for all transactions. It provides the simplicity of license plate scanning while maintaining all of the individual inventory data elements as needed. This widely used technology was just improved based upon customer feedback. Now the smart barcode structure includes part, quantity, lot, reference, location, PO, PO line, vendor lot, site, op, prod line, routing, BOM, work center, and machine. This expansion allows customers to generate one barcode for a single-scan advanced repetitive production transaction. Customers can now generate one barcode to act like a single-scan Kanban in a variety of shop floor inventory and labor transactions.
